What is Microcurrent?

Effortless Beauty Clinic is one of the few providers of microcurrent in Austin, TX. So, what is microcurrent? And, why should you get a microcurrent facial?

Microcurrent is a natural alternative to botox and facial fillers.

Microcurrent is natural, safe, and non-toxic. During a microcurrent facial I use low-level electrical impulses to mimic and stimulate your skin’s natural production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) by 500%! ATP is a nucleotide that stores and transports chemical energy within your cells. Increased levels of ATP speed cellular metabolism, stimulate protein synthesis, detoxify, and rebuild collagen and elastin. Microcurrent has been used for over 60 years to speed the healing of injuries, wounds, and muscular degeneration.

Clinical studies consistently show microcurrent also increases:

  • Blood circulation by 35%
  • The number of elastin fibers by 45%
  • The length of elastin fibers by 50%
  • Glucose production (gluconeogenesis) by 40%
  • Collagen by 14%
  • Lymphatic drainage by 28%

What does microcurrent address?

  • Diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improves circulation
  • Clears up/ reduce acne
  • Improves muscle tone in face, neck, and hands
  • Lifts jowls and eyebrows
  • Calms rosacea
  • Drains lymphatic nodes
  • Treats sun damage
  • Improves skin pigmentation
  • Facilitates product penetration
  • Tightens large pores, resulting in smoother and firmer skin
  • Revitalizes the skin
  • Improves skin elasticity

How soon will I see results?

While you will results in only one session, lasting results are achieved through a series of treatments. The exact number of sessions needed to lay a strong foundation depends on your lifestyle, age, health, muscle tone, and the condition of your skin, but is typically between 4 and 12 treatments, with appointments once or twice a week. As the muscle memory takes over, you’ll only need a maintenance treatment every four to six weeks.
